Awesome Indoor Activities for March Break and Why Indoor Skydiving Tops the List

12 March 2025

Looking for some memory-making this month? Keep reading. We've rounded up some fun indoor activities to do on March break as a family that are all a little less yawn and a lot more yes!

March break arrives at a strange time – it’s a bit too warm for hardcore winter activities but it isn’t all that mild in most parts of Canada. Plus, if you’re staying at home or enrolling the kiddies for camp or something else, it isn’t easy to work out how you’ll fill up your week at home with your brood.

No trouble, though. We’ve put together a few indoor activities for adults and kids alike to help you plan the best March break itinerary yet.

Why indoor skydiving will be your new March break tradition

If you have teens and you're thinking, “Are there any cool indoor activities for teens in Toronto, Calgary, or Montreal?” – we have that handled, too. And here’s why indoor skydiving at iFLY Canada should be your number-one spot this March break.

Freedom to fly

March break is all about freedom. Freedom from school, freedom from the usual routine, and even a break from that chilly weather. Now, while we can’t whisk you away to a tropical island (we’re cool but not that cool), we can definitely get you flying indoors with us here at iFLY Canada.

What is iFLY indoor skydiving?

  • Air tube flying: You get to do air tube flying in our high-powered vertical wind tunnel. You float, flip, and maybe flub a bit – it’s all good.
  • All ages welcome: It's an experience where you and the teens (or even three-year-olds) can get rid of those winter blues without any frostbite.

Special March break deal

And we have a must-grab deal for you…

  • Friends and family pack: Grab 15% OFF our Friends and Family Pack when you book for March break. Just pick your location (Calgary, Oakville, Whitby or Montreal) then use the code MARCHBREAK15 when you book.
  • Budget-friendly fun: It’s all the fun without the excessive price tag. Book here.

Cool indoor spots to hang at in Toronto this March break

If you're the kind of family that likes to mix a bit of learning with a lot of fun, Toronto's packed with options that tick both boxes.

    • Casa Loma: Test your wits at Casa Loma. It’s not every day you can say you escaped dragons in a castle, is it? They have this super cool escape room adventure, Dragon’s Song, that has everyone talking.
  • Snow White Exhibition:
And if you’re into a bit of fairy-tale magic, check out the

Snow White Exhibit

they’re hosting. It’s as enchanting as it sounds, with all the costumes and props that’ll make you feel like you strolled right into the movie.
  • Ontario Science Centre Experiences:
If you’re more into science than storybooks, check out the

Ontario Science Centre Experiences

at CF Sherway Gardens. There’s everything from LEGO brick towers to circus science. Plus, kids can get hands-on with some fun experiments – they won’t even know they’re learning.

Equally awesome spots to see in Calgary this March

Be sure to pop by the Calgary Zoo - toddlers through to grandparents will love this animal-packed adventure. You’ll get up incredibly close with the likes of penguins, pandas, and more. While you’re there:

    • Penguin Walk: See the king penguins doing daily exercise outside their habitat, taking a royal stroll through the zoo grounds (10:30 a.m. every day).
  • Wild Canada Zone:
Spot all sorts of wildlife there, from expert mountain climbers like goats and sheep to a raft of otters and the largest wild canine in the world - the grey wolf.

Must-visit indoor attractions in Montreal this March break

If you’re heading to Montreal, the Montreal Science Centre is a must-see. If your kids are budding scientists, or you’re curious yourself, this is amazing for minds of all ages. Get hands-on with interactive exhibits that make physics, biology, and chemistry fun. You might even learn something alongside the kiddos.

Make the most out of your indoor activities

Planning a day packed with indoor adventures? Start at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada where you can chill with some jellyfish and hang out with hammerheads. And the best bit? Once you’ve had your fill of underwater wonders, you can pop over to the Rec Room across the street. It’s excellent for all ages with virtual reality, ping pong, and arcade classics.

If you have little ones bursting with energy, check out Bubble Toronto. Their inflatapark and black light laser tag are sure to be a hit. By the time you’re ready to head home, they’ll be all tuckered out – just in time for a peaceful evening.

The takeaway

Each of these spots offers something one-off, so no matter what your family is into, you’re guaranteed a day full of excitement and new experiences.
